FAQs

Where are you located? Do you travel?

I currently live in Sacramento but I’m originally from the Bay Area.

Yes! I do travel and would absolutely love to travel for your wedding.

Do you charge for travel?

Depends! For weddings within a 50 mile radius of Sacramento there isn’t a travel fee. Anything outside of that area may incur a travel fee depending on distance, accessibility, and wedding start/end time.

What’s an adventure wedding/elopement?

Just a super cool way to get married! I may be biased though since I love the outdoors! In short, it’s a wedding at an epic destination. “I want to get married at the top of Half Dome?” Done! “How about in the middle of the desert? Easy! “We want to backpack and get married in the backcountry?” I’ll go pack my bag. If you want more information about an adventure wedding/elopement click here.

Do you have liability insurance?

Yes I do! If your venue requires a certificate of insurance please let me know and I can get one for you.

Do you back-up our wedding in the cloud?

Absolutely! Images/videos are stored on a hard-drive, backed-up on a secondary drive, and then the final edited images/video are kept in the cloud.

Will you post our photos/film?

I’d love to! As a freelancer I love sharing my work on social media and my website. If you prefer that your images/film remain offline that can be negotiated when booking me to shoot your wedding.

What if my venue is dark?

That’s totally cool! I use flashes and have cameras that record great video in low-light scenarios. Please note some chapels do not allow flashes/additional lighting so be sure to ask before booking a location.

Do we need to feed you?

That would be awesome and would keep me really happy throughout your wedding day. If vendors are not being provided meals please let me know in advance so I can plan accordingly. Typically, I like to eat when the couple eats (not after) so that I don’t miss any moments once you guys are done eating as well.

Do I need a second photographer?

Depends! Second photographers provide another perspective of your wedding day, are backups so no moment is missed, and can be at a second location when needed. I can’t be in two places at once unfortunately! Ultimately, it’s the couples decision and we can definitely chat about it during the booking process.

How many photos do I get?

Each wedding is different so the number of delivered images varies. In general I try to shoot 50-75 images per hour.

Do you deliver RAW photos?

Typically no, I spend hours sorting/editing images to deliver the absolute best photos. Additionally RAW photos are not final products, need additional software to be opened, and are large files to transfer.

How soon will I get my photos?

Wedding galleries are delivered within 6-8 weeks.

How will my photos be delivered?

I’m glad you asked! You’ll receive a password protected gallery of images via Pixieset! Once you receive your gallery you’ll be able to download, favorite and share all your images!

Do I need a second videographer?

In most cases yes! With photo you’re freezing moments in time, while video is capturing every second of it. I have found to tell the best story at least two people are needed to capture multiple angles, get quality audio, etc.

For videos of adventure weddings and elopements one videographer is fine simply because they are far smaller in the # of attendees (up to 25).

How soon will I get my film?

Wedding films are delivered 6-8 weeks.

How will my film be delivered?

Films are delivered online via a download link!

Will you record audio?

Yes! We will typically place a lavalier microphone on one person and if the DJ lets us we will hook into their board directly for speeches and ceremony.

Can you edit a longer film than 10-15 minutes?

At the moment I’m only offering film’s 15 minutes and shorter. This is the sweet spot I have found to tell a good story of a wedding day. I totally understand some couples want to relive their full wedding ceremony or listen to entire speeches so I’ve added multi-cam edits of those two as add-ons.
