Digital Media Delivery & Archival Policy
1. Delivery & Access Periods
Upon project completion, the Client will receive access to their media assets via a digital gallery or transfer link. Access windows are enforced as follows:
Final Photo & Video Assets: Available for download for six (6) months from the date of delivery.
Raw/Uncut Video Footage: If raw or uncut footage is included in the Client’s purchased package, access is limited to thirty (30) days from the date of delivery.
2. Client Responsibility
It is the Client’s sole responsibility to download and securely back up all media assets (final and raw) within the specified windows. The Photographer/Videographer is not liable for data loss, link expiration, or server clearance once these periods have concluded.
3. Archiving & Expiration
After the initial access periods, links will expire and media will be moved to long-term "cold" storage.
No Guarantee: There is no guarantee that assets will be accessible or retrievable after one (1) year from the delivery date. Storage is a courtesy, not a permanent backup service.
4. Archival Retrieval Fees
Should the Client request retrieval of assets after the initial access period, the following non-refundable deposits are required to begin the search and recovery process. These fees are required regardless of whether the files are successfully recovered.
Photo Retrieval Deposit: $150 (Includes first hour of labor).
Video Retrieval Deposit: $250 (Includes first hour of labor).
Additional Labor: If recovery exceeds one hour, an additional fee of $150 per hour will be billed.
5. Corrupted Data & Third-Party Recovery
If archived files are located but found to be corrupted or inaccessible due to hardware failure:
Third-Party Costs: If the Client elects to use a professional third-party data recovery service, the full cost of that service will be billed to the Client in addition to the Photographer/Videographer’s labor fees.
Liability: The Photographer/Videographer does not warrant the success of third-party recovery and is not responsible for costs if the recovery is unsuccessful.
